A custom just because song for John

Nothing here is staged and nothing was re-shot. Kathy answered a handful of questions about John, and this is what came back.

    When they heard it

Someone in your life has a story like this one.

You already know it. That is the whole qualification — you answer the questions, and our songwriters do the writing.

“But they're impossible to buy for.”

That is usually the point. Someone who already owns everything, or who insists on nothing, cannot be given another thing. But nobody already owns a song about their own life. It cannot be returned, outgrown, or found in a shop, and it can never be recreated for anyone else — it is built from what you alone know about them.

  • “I'm not a writer.”

You don't have to be. Kathy answered a few questions, the way you would text a friend. Our songwriters turned those answers into the song you just heard.

  • “What if it misses?”

Then you tell us and we make it right. Every song carries a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so the risk of finding out is not yours to carry.

  • “Is it worth it?”

Custom songs typically cost $500 and up. This costs a fraction of that, arrives inside a week, and is theirs for the rest of their life.

[0:01] Hello, for those of you that are watching, my name is Kathy Marty, [0:05] and recently I used timeless song to write a love song for my husband John. [0:13] Uh, we were approaching our 47th anniversary, [0:17] and um, we had just gotten a diagnosis of stage 3 cancer. [0:21] So surgery was actually a week ago today, Monday. [0:25] And um, our anniversary was the next day and he had said, 'Well, what a place to celebrate our anniversary.' [0:32] Anyway, um, I want to tell you that I have watched many of the videos that are have been on my news feed. [0:39] And I have been touched by each and every one, [0:42] by their love stories or the songs that somebody had done for one of their children. [0:47] Um, I saw one recently on retirement that was very touching. [0:51] And so I decided to go for it and um push the button and find out what it was about. [0:58] And it was very easy to do. [1:00] Um, it gave me lots of options about how to personalize my song [1:05] and put it together and uh we were able to share it with my husband, [1:11] um last Tuesday, September 2nd, or actually that was our anniversary, September 1st. [1:17] And so um, if you're thinking about it, um you've seen a few of these, [1:22] and you have any hesitation, my advice to you is, [1:26] go for it. [1:27] It's one of the sweetest gifts I've been able to give. [1:31] And it was pretty hard to watch it with our watch him receive it without shedding a tear or two. [1:35] So. [1:36] Much love and um happy endings to all of you. [1:40] God bless.

The words they heard

[Verse 1] Forty-seven years ago We found a tune that we would know A country song of denim blue And somewhere in that melody Heaven waited patient with me Till the night I found my heart in you [Chorus] Faith, family, farming That's the life we're carving Through every season, come what may You're steadfast as the morning Still funny, sweet, and warming And still my dance partner today [Verse 2] I prayed for a man who'd make me laugh A man of God to walk my path A voice to sing, a hand to hold On your arm I still take flight Spinning polkas late at night And you shine brighter than the gold [Chorus] Faith, family, farming That's the life we're carving Through every season, come what may Oh John, you're my safe harbor The tears you're never scared for Still my dance partner today [Bridge] Five grown children, twelve more small Every one of them a blessing, all When the fields don't pay, you kneel and pray And you whisper, "We're in this together, come what may" [Verse 3] Now a storm has come our way But your hand still holds when I'm afraid You say, "God's got us, love, don't fear" So I'll lean into your song Where I've always known I belong John, my faithful man, my dear [Chorus] Faith, family, farming That's the life we're carving Through every season, come what may You're steadfast as the morning Still funny, sweet, and warming And still my dance partner today [Outro] In blue jeans, in the setting sun We're forever, we are one God's got us, and I'm not afraid As long as you and I still sway
