Encouragement Song Videos

The songs here were written for someone in the middle of something hard: a friend starting chemotherapy, a brother rebuilding after a divorce, a teammate sidelined by an injury, a mother holding a family together through a season that refused to end. An encouragement song is commissioned by the people on the sidelines who don't know what to say — and who decide to say it anyway, in the most deliberate form there is.

These lyrics do something a get-well card can't: they name the fight specifically and the fighter's strength specifically. The song knows the diagnosis, the setback, the fear — because the person who commissioned it shared the real story — and it answers with the evidence: every hard thing this person has already survived, every reason the people around them believe they'll come through. Recipients tell us they play these songs on repeat before treatments, on the bad days, in the car outside appointments. When you can't be present at every hard moment, a song can be.

Some of the videos below are quiet and steadying; some are defiant, built to be turned up loud. All of them exist because somebody refused to let a person they love feel alone in a hard season. It may be the most direct way there is to say: we see you, we're with you, keep going.

Some of these songs come from one friend; others are group efforts, a whole small group or team pooling memories so the person hears every voice at once. Some senders stay anonymous. Recovery milestones — the last treatment, the six-month chip, the first day back — often get their own verse, and recipients say the song becomes the thing they reach for when the next hard day arrives.
