Soft Skies and Second Springs

Lyrics

[Verse 1] There's a quiet kind of power In a woman who still prays When the world is closing in And she's barely got the strength to raise her hands But she rises every morning With a song inside her chest Leaning on the One who knows her best [Chorus] Oh, she smiles through the storm She loves through the pain She finds her peace in the middle of the rain With faith like a fire And a heart open wide She's walking in the light, she's gonna be alright [Verse 2] Christy, you've been the shoulder When your own heart needed rest You gave away your light Even when the road was at its hardest test You guided souls to morning When your night was still so long But God kept whispering, "Baby, you are strong" [Chorus] Oh, she smiles through the storm She loves through the pain She finds her peace in the middle of the rain With faith like a fire And a heart open wide She's walking in the light, she's gonna be alright [Bridge] What tried to break you only made you bloom He turned your every shadow into room For grace, for love, for brand new days [Verse 3] Christy, this is your season Of soft skies and second springs Of laying down the heavy And remembering the joy your spirit brings You don't have to hold it all now Lay it gently at His feet He's been making everything complete [Chorus] Oh, you smile through the storm You love through the pain You find your peace in the middle of the rain With faith like a fire And a heart open wide Christy, you're the light, and you're gonna be alright [Outro] Yeah, He made it all okay He's making all things new today
