The Smile That Melts Me

[0:00] Hi, I'm Linda Hurst. [0:02] And I made the video for my husband of 57 years. [0:08] And I made it because, as you, we're getting older. [0:14] And these opportunities to do something special for the person you love the most in the world, get harder and harder to find and to do. [0:25] And I felt like this was a good opportunity for me to let Dan know how I felt about him. [0:31] Um, I didn't really hesitate. [0:32] I had seen the, um, other videos on Facebook and stuff and I thought they were really neat. [0:40] And, um, so when I, I just decided to do it. [0:46] I thought, well, I'm going to do this and, and so I did. [0:48] And then I sat down and and wrote out things about our life together. [0:55] And like I said, we've been married 57 years, so we have a lot of history. [1:00] Uh, he was very touched. [1:02] It took him a while to catch on, um, that when he heard the the trail of from Fort Hood to California. [1:12] Uh, he, he really caught on and then when he heard about the three daughters and the eight grandchildren, he really got it, but he cried. [1:22] And it was very sweet and, um, I don't regret doing it at all. [1:26] I think it was a wonderful thing to do. [1:29] And please excuse my appearance. [1:31] I've been traveling all day and I'm kind of tired, but I wanted to do this. [1:36] And so, anyway, do it. [1:41] It's it's not that big a deal. [1:42] Just do it.
